The Africa Grantmakers’ Affinity Group and Moore Philanthropy invite you to join us for an informal discussion of the challenges and opportunities when funding in countries in Africa.  This interactive program has been designed specifically for individual donors, funders with little or no full-time staff, and philanthropic advisors who are exploring funding in Africa or making their first grants and would benefit from engaging with colleagues with similar restraints and challenges.

Topics include:

  • trends in private funding targeting Africa
  • three key questions to ask before making your first grant
  • tips for building knowledge and making professional connections

The session will begin with brief presentations by two speakers with extensive experience in working in philanthropy targeting Africa. During the facilitated interactive dialogue, participants will have an opportunity to discuss how their philanthropy can benefit African communities.

Speakers:

Niamani Mutima, Executive Director, Africa Grantmakers’ Affinity Group
Yvonne Moore, Principle, Moore Philanthropy

Space is limited and registration is required. Deadline to register is Friday, September 30, 2017. REGISTER HERE

Fundraising or solicitation of funding is not permitted.
