AGAG has gifted its archives to the Philanthropic Studies Archives at the Ruth Lilly Special Collections and Archives at Indiana University, Indianapolis. As part of Indiana University's extensive research on the history and practice of philanthropy, this documentation about AGAG’s experiences will serve as an essential resource and institutional memory to capture past lessons and help improve future impact.
Since 2000, AGAG has built a diverse network and intellectual home for funding practitioners mobilizing resources to benefit African communities. As AGAG concludes its work, the AGAG Legacy Project ensures that its knowledge, research, and conversations remain accessible.
Despite its low contribution to CO2 emissions, African communities are disproportionately affected by climate change. This blog post on the impact of climate change for communities across Africa highlights recent research, the work of African organizations that are building global networks and training climate justice activists, and funders who are using grants and investments to support the changes need to address climate change.
